Letter to Family
My name is Ivy, I am 22 years old, born and raised in America, and I love children! I am
from a small town called Eastman which is in the heart of Georgia. I grew up with my
mother, father, and one younger sister named Macy; I have always been a family oriented
girl! I graduated high school and moved off to begin my college career by attending
Georgia Southern University where I majored in Art Education. My mother and father have
always told me that I have a special knack for working with children, and I believe that
to be true. I am from a very loving, warm family that has given me a strong zest for life!
I hope to share the warmth with your children that my family has instilled in me.
Although I have never worked as an Au pair before, I have always been interested in doing

primary babysitter for five siblings (ages 10 months to 12 years old) for over three
years, as well as babysitting for several other families. The children and I would often
make crafts and have fun singing and dancing together. I took the kids to the local
swimming pool occasionally in the summers as well as many trips downtown to eat ice-cream,
go to the park, etc. I would feed, bathe, and put the children to bed every night. Caring
for five children at one time taught me a lot and I feel like I am prepared for almost

under five years teaching art to children ages 5 to 17. The Boys and Girls Club is an
after school program for kids to e and do homework, learn art, exercise and play sports,
have time on the internet, read books in the library, and play outdoors. Although I mainly
taught art and helped with homework, I often helped with all areas of the club. I truly
enjoyed that job and the children it brought into my life!
Also, I worked many years teaching Children's Church and Vacation Bible School at my
hometown church. During the service the small children would e into a separate area from
the sanctuary to play games, sing songs, read Bible verses, and make crafts. In VBS
children would e for a week every summer to learn about the Bible/etc. and have fun while
