Letter to Family

tr
Dear Family,
My name is Caitlin, I currently live in Australia about 3hours north of Sydney in a small
country town called Muswellbrook. I grew up in Muswellbrook with my family (Mum, Dad and
younger brother). After completing high school I got accepted into Primary Education
Course at Charles Sturt University, Dubbo. So I moved away from my family and began to
create a new life for myself. Throughout my degree I travelled to the USA and completed
one semster of study abroad. I thoroughly enjoyed this expereince and it has sparked a
love of travelling within me. Upon returning from the States I began to focus on
completing my degree. During my last year of study I recieved the heart breaking news that
my mother had passed away. I returned home to be with my family for a few weeks. I then
made a decision that I needed to return to university and complete my degree as this was
always my Mum's biggest dream for me, I knew I had to do it to make her proud. So in March
2010 I graduated with a Bachelor of Education (Primary) with honours from Charles Sturt
University. Since completing my degree I made a decision to return to Muswellbrook after
recieving a full time job. I wanted to be close to my family after everything that had
happened. I am very keen to get out and see the world and what it has to offer me. I have
enjoyed the experience of working for the last year and half with some beautiful children.
I know that I have made a difference in their life and that makes me incrediably happy. I
am ready for a change and some new challenges in my life. I have always loved working
with children I have babysat since I was 13 years old all over my neighbourhood, have
worked in day care centres whilst completing my degree and am now teaching Grade 3. I know
that I could become a very valuable assest to your family. I hope that you carefully
consider me for any positions. I look forward to getting to know you and your family in
the future. I can't wait to be in contact with a great family who holds the key to my new
adventure!
Caitlin Folpp
